Directions:
From Town: Follow South Nevada Avenue past the South Academy intersection, continue 1.5 miles, passing Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base(NORAD)     your   right. Turn right at the first traffic light just opposite Fort Carson’s Gate 1.

From 1-25: Take Exit 135, heading west on South Academy Blvd. past Pikes Peak Community College on the right. Turn left onto Hwy. 115. and continue south 1.5 miles. Turn right opposite fort Carson’s Gate 1.

History: Established in 2000, partially opened in 2006, fully opened in 2008 with the completion of RV facilities, this is the first and only state park in El Paso County. The park has quickly become a haven for RV’ers, birders, joggers, bikers, hikers, archers, and equestrians. The Archery Range was opened in 2015 and has become a haven for our local archers. The trail to the top of Cheyenne Mountain, the Dixon Trail, as well as the 3.6 mile loop on top of Cheyenne Mountain was opened to the public is 2018.
