Colorado Parks & Wildlife is excited to announce that it has completed the Cheyenne Mountain State Park Management Plan. The document, which was completed in November 2012, outlines a framework for Cheyenne Mountain State Park that will help guide park planning and management, as well as potential uses for the 1,000-acre Top of the Mountain area. The plan provides a foundation for many aspects of park budgeting, development, and administration.
Colorado Parks & Wildlife hosted public open house meetings at key junctures of the planning process. The goal of the first open house meeting was to inform the public of the planning process and solicit feedback to help guide development of this plan (in addition to any feedback gathered during previous park planning efforts). The first meeting was held on November 29, 2011. The final meeting was held on November 29 of 2012.
The management plan is posted on the link below. If you have any questions regarding the planning process or the finalized plan please email: firstname.lastname@example.org or contact Mitch Martin at (719) 576-2381.
